Long before European contact, indigenous tribes across North America utilized a diverse array of materials for beadwork, including stone, shell, quills, and bone. With the introduction of metal and glass, intricate and stylized patterns emerged, adorning clothing, jewelry, and decorative items.
This workshop delves into the traditional art of seed beading, a technique that involves stitching tiny glass beads onto a fabric backing. You'll learn basic techniques and create your own unique seed-beaded turtle.
