Perfect for both seasoned mountain bikers and casual hikers, the trail offers breathtaking views of forests, lakes, and rivers, making it a must-visit for outdoor enthusiasts.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Dragon Trail is its upcoming completion, which will make the entire 47-mile loop accessible for adventurers. Currently, there are over 35 miles open to explore. Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself on the more technical sections or just want to enjoy a leisurely hike surrounded by nature, the Dragon Trail offers fun for every experience level. The trail is designed with both bikers and hikers in mind, featuring sections that cater to different skill levels and experiences.

Currently, a grand opening is planned for Saturday, September 28, at Sandy Beach Park located at 6696 E. 30th St., White Cloud.

Visiting Mecosta County to explore the Dragon Trail is not just about the trail itself—it’s about the entire experience. Along the way, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy the local wildlife, take in the scenic views that the Manistee National Forest is known for and then relax in one of our 8 hotel accommodations including all the brands you love.
